Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies Closr uses, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to turn the optional ones off.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage (such as localStorage) and small scripts or pixels that report when a page is viewed. In this policy we call them all “cookies”. Some are essential — the site cannot work without them. Others are optional, and we only use them unless you decline.

This policy applies to our website at aiclosr.ai, the Closr app and booking pages. It forms part of our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal data cookies collect.

2. Essential cookies

These are always on, because without them you could not sign in or keep your choices. They are not used for analytics or advertising.

Inside the app we also use browser storage to remember interface preferences — such as a collapsed sidebar, a selected view or an unsent draft. This stays on your device and is not used to track you.

3. Analytics cookies (optional)

Our own first-party analytics tell us which pages people visit, how they move through the site and where they click, so we can improve it. The data stays with us and is not shared with advertising networks.

If you decline, these cookies are not set, the analytics script stops collecting, and what it had already collected from your browser is erased.

4. Advertising cookies (optional)

When we advertise on Google, we use the Google tag to measure whether a visit that came from one of our ads leads to a sign-up or an enquiry. This lets us see which ads work without sending Google your name, email address, phone number or anything you typed into a form.

If you decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Google tag runs in a restricted mode that sets no advertising cookies.

5. Your choices

  • Cookie banner. The first time you visit our website you can accept or decline optional cookies. “Cookie details” in the banner lists them.
  • Changing your mind. To change your choice, clear the closrConsent cookie (or all cookies for aiclosr.ai) in your browser; the banner will appear again on your next visit.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as declining optional cookies.
  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies will stop you signing in.

6. Cookies on our customers’ websites

Closr customers can add a Closr chat or voice widget, booking page, form or visitor tracker to their own websites. On those sites, Closr sets cookies like the analytics cookies above on the customer’s behalf, to show the customer who visits their site and to run the widget. The website owner decides whether to use these tools and is responsible for telling their visitors and asking for consent. Our tracker honours a declined closrConsent choice and Global Privacy Control. To ask about cookies on such a site, contact the site’s owner.

7. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when we add, remove or change a cookie, and change the “last updated” date above.
